What is THE COMPLEAT STRATEGIST?

THE COMPLEAT STRATEGIST is a brick-and-mortar game store that has been serving the gaming community since 1975. We offer an incredible selection of tabletop games and expert customer service. Over the decades, many gamers have deemed us a "must-visit" location for enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Do you host gaming events?

Yes, we do! We host organized play and community events for a variety of games, including Magic: The Gathering and Star Wars: Unlimited. For a full schedule of upcoming events, please visit our Events page.

Do you have tables for open gaming?

While we host scheduled events in our spacious gaming area, we do not have tables available for unscheduled "drop-in" play. We are a retail emporium dedicated to the hobby rather than a gaming café, ensuring our space remains ready for our curated event calendar.

What kind of games do you carry?

We are a haven for tabletop game enthusiasts! Our shelves are stocked with the latest board games, Tabletop RPGs (including a massive D&D selection), Warhammer and miniatures, paints and hobby accessories, Collectible Card Games (CCGs), classic games, jigsaw puzzles (featuring Ravensburger), travel games and brain teasers. And yes—we have plenty of dice.

Do you sell video games or electronics?

No. We are dedicated to the tabletop experience. We love face-to-face, hands-on gaming, so you won’t find any consoles or digital software here.

Do you buy or sell "singles" or used games?

To ensure our customers receive the highest quality, we deal exclusively in new, factory-sealed products. We do not buy, sell, or trade used merchandise or loose trading cards (singles).

I’m looking for a gift but don't know where to start. Can you help?

Absolutely! Our staff are experts in the hobby. Whether you’re looking for a "gateway game" for a beginner or a complex strategy title for a veteran, we can help you find the perfect match.

Do you offer gift cards?

We offer two types of gift options:

• Online Store: Electronic gift cards valid for use right here on our website.
• Physical Store: Traditional printed gift certificates available for purchase and use at our brick-and-mortar location.

Please note: Online gift cards and in-store certificates are managed on separate systems and are not interchangeable.

Do you get special promos or exclusive items?

Yes! As a long-standing partner with major vendors (including Wizards of the Coast), we frequently receive organized play promos and exclusive "brick-and-mortar" releases. We also participate in Free RPG Day every year.
